About Raq
Last updated:
Raq (Raq App) is the first app in Asia and Africa for the rehabilitation of facial palsy and facial nerve paralysis, and the world’s first app to use AI to treat facial nerve palsy patients, including Bell’s palsy. It combines physiotherapy exercises guided by video and voice with real-time AI guidance through the phone camera, helping patients stay consistent with a structured rehab plan and clearly track their improvement.
Our mission
To give every person with facial palsy — wherever they are and whatever language they speak — a clear, structured and measurable rehabilitation journey that supports doctors and physiotherapists rather than replacing them.
What Raq offers
- A structured 3-month rehab plan, organized into weeks and days that unlock progressively.
- Video and voice-guided exercises approved by physiotherapists.
- Real-time AI guidance through your camera during exercises, so each movement is done correctly.
- Daily and weekly progress reports.
- 6 languages: Arabic, English, Spanish, French, German and Turkish.
- Free to download on Google Play, with the iPhone version coming soon.
How we create our medical content
- We rely on trusted medical sources such as the US National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), the UK NHS, the AAO-HNS clinical practice guideline and Cochrane reviews.
- We cite sources at the end of every article and update content when new evidence appears, showing the last-updated date.
- We write in clear, simple language and avoid unrealistic promises.
- Our content is for health education only and does not replace diagnosis or treatment by a qualified doctor.
